Connected
I once believed that I held onto God, fell out of favor with God and made my way back into His graces, followed God—sometimes close, sometimes not so much—moved from God and to God. Believed that God and I were in flux.
I tried hard. Believed hard. Prayed hard… studied, memorized, attended, worked, tried. All hard.
Mine was a hard belief.
Staying connected with God was a trial. He was less than forthcoming—it seemed.
As it turns out, there’s no need for Him to be forthcoming. He’s present.
He feels hard to find because He’s right here. Easy to overlook—like all those closest to me.
Scripture says: 1) We cannot find God, come to Him, or retain Him. 2) God comes to us—all the time, without fail, and holds us in His grip.
You are connected to God because He connected Himself to you. He’s near you. He’s in your heart.
Here’s more on this thought.
