Worth

Scales of Justice

Scales of Justice

Joe negotiates to buy a new truck for $20,000. He writes a check and slides it across the desk to the salesman—who in turn slides the truck keys to Joe. Their deal is sealed.

At this moment, the truck and the $20,000 are equivalent in worth. They are not equal. One is a truck and one is money, but in financial terms, they are equivalent in value.

God comes to purchase a child. The cost is $JESUS.00. He determines that it’s a good deal.

So, God pays $JESUS.00 to have you.

At this point, your worth—and Jesus’—is determined. Because of the price paid, worth is established. You and Jesus are equivalent. You are worth Jesus and Jesus is worth you.

The next time you are diminished, devalued, demoralized; disenfranchised, discouraged, or otherwise considered less than, beneath, inferior, insignificant, or inadequate make a determination to attribute to yourself the same worth that your heavenly Father declares is your true value.

To adopt ANY less valuation of yourself is to diminish the worth of Jesus Christ.

Here’s a book on this subject.
