Thermostat Law

I knew a tough office manager who kept the air conditioning set near freezing. Everyone hated it, but they never changed it. Even after the manager left the company the workers kept the thermostat where he left it. They were bound by the old law of the thermostat.

Before coming to Christ we all cling to the old law of sin and death even though it never brings us real fulfillment. But because of knowing Christ Jesus we have received forgiveness and freedom from that old law forever. Problem is we're so used to doing things the old way that we often act like we're still bound by that old law. But hey, the old manager is gone and we are free to walk in faith as new creations. Christ's death on the cross bought our salvation, and His resurrected life is our ticket to freedom.
